As a prospective UNLV transfer student from an NSHE community college, please read the terms below to determine if you meet them. If so, please visit with your academic counseling office to initiate the Transfer Agreement process.
Terms of Agreement
- A student is eligible for a UNLV Transfer Agreement if they have earned 0 – 30 transferable credits at any institution or combination of institutions within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).
- Students are not eligible to sign an agreement if course work has been completed at institutions outside of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).
- Students must stay within the curriculum specified by the degree program Articulation Worksheet at institutions within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).
- At the time of transfer, students must have earned the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) required by the UNLV major indicated on the signed agreement.
- Students must transfer to UNLV before the Agreement Expiration Date indicated on the signed transfer agreement. An agreement becomes void if it expires before a student transfers to UNLV.
- Students may transfer to UNLV anytime once they earn at least 24 transferable credits and have the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) required by the UNLV major.
- Keep in mind that at UNLV, the catalog that a student uses cannot be more than ten (10) years old at the time of UNLV graduation. This is an important fact to consider while planning a course of study.
- An agreement becomes void if, after arrival to UNLV, a student declares a different major and/or catalog year than the one specified on the signed agreement.
- Students must have prior approval from the UNLV Transfer Center in order to make any modifications either to the terms of the agreement or to the list of courses that must be taken in order to satisfy the terms of the agreement as specified on the degree program Articulation Worksheet.
- University of Nevada, Las Vegas guarantees admission to the UNLV major and catalog year indicated on the signed agreement provided that the student transfers to UNLV before the signed agreement expires and that all of the terms of the agreement have been met.
